Consul Pascalux de la Boirie

Consul Pascalux deals with internal affairs (board and lodging). After completing his training as a head chef he refined his art – and his culinary imagination – in a number of well-known and highly-respected restaurants. Quite apart from his cuisine, he’s incredibly generous and attentive.

Pascalux de la Boirie has worked in a managerial role in one of France’s largest insurance groups. He has always had a passion for food and been excited by the idea of coming up with “untried taste sensations” by combining local flavours with modern gastronomy. In 2007 he decided to dedicate all his energy to his passion by learning the ropes in a number of high quality restaurants, including one boasting a Michelin star. In 2009, he began a vocational course to hone his skills (BEP chef-cuisinier). Parallel to this, he works with the young chef Mathieu Garrel, a renowned name in modern French cuisine whose refined dishes combine quality, tradition and originality at his restaurant "Le Bélisaire" in Paris.

Consul Philippéon de la Boirie

Consul Philippéon oversees the diplomatic relationships with other micronations around the world. He sometimes graces consular palace dinners with his (informal) presence. He knows everything there is to know about the history of the consular micronation, as well as local walking routes. He is eloquent and unpredictable.

Philippéon de la Boirie is dedicated to the preservation of architectural heritage and the protection of nature, specifically that of the southern Sarthe region, where he has been based since 1990. In 1999, with consul Pascalux, he discovered and bought La Boirie to protect it from falling into ruin. They went on to tackle the ambitious restoration work, the quality of which has been commended by Sarthe’s Architecte des Bâtiments de France (ABF –association of French architects) and approved by the Fondation du Patrimoine (the French equivalent of the National Trust). A passionate equestrian since a young age, he breeds and rides his Selle français (SF) horses in the forest of Bercé and surrounding countryside where he knows all the best routes.

Consul Sébastiel de la Boirie

Consul Sébastiel represents the Consulate’s interests beyond the micronation’s borders. Having studied humanities in France, he his totally committed to promoting the Consulate’s values, with grace and courtesy, in the heart of the historic city of Le Mans. He is charming and reserved.

Sébastiel de la Boirie was born and lives in Mans. He has been a frequent guest at La Boirie since 2005 and has been actively involved with its renaissance alongside consuls Pascalux and Philippéon. He works as a GP locum around the Sarthe region, which he knows very well, especially as far as its cultural and tourist features are concerned. His professional timetable is relatively flexible so he regularly stays at the Consulate to deal with all the subtle formalities involved, and throws himself into the role of welcoming and helping visitors.
