The Consular etiquette is much less strict than that of Louis XIV at Versailles!
You can check-in to rooms from 3pm, and we ask that you check-out by 11am on your last day. You may, however, remain at the Consulate and enjoy the amenities until 7pm before leaving us.
Breakfast is served from 8:31am until 10:29am, depending on the season, in the reception room or on the terrace made of chestnut wood.
Breakfast for early morning outings (between 6:30am and 8:30am) is possible if booked in advance.
Dinner is served at 8pm on the dot.
Guests are invited to meet in the drawing room at 7:30pm, or on the Terrace (Pond Terrace, Pool Terrace), weather-permitting. Punctualityis the courtesy of kings, but missed appointments are, more simply, the dread of consuls.
Smoking is not permitted in the palace or the consular rooms.
Children are very welcome at the palace, but not all the rooms are suitable. Please let us know when you book.
Animals are not welcome apart from wildebeest as long as they are fluent in English.
